Request deletion by email
To request deletion of your PlotRoom account, contact Ali Shaaban, the developer, at ali.shaaban2002@gmail.com . Requests are reviewed and processed manually after account ownership is verified.
- Send an email to ali.shaaban2002@gmail.com .
- Use the subject Account Deletion Request.
- Preferably send the request from the email address associated with your PlotRoom account. Include your PlotRoom username to help locate the account.
- The developer will verify account ownership before processing your request. Sending an email from the registered address does not, by itself, establish ownership.
- Once ownership is verified, the request will be processed using PlotRoom's existing account deletion mechanism, with the data handling described below.
Ownership and account access
If you use Google Sign-In or cannot access the registered mailbox, explain that in your email. The developer will review whether ownership can be securely established. There is no automatic email-only verification or guaranteed alternative recovery process. Never send your password, authentication token, Google password, or one-time verification codes.
Visiting this page or opening the email link does not delete an account. Sending a request does not trigger automatic deletion or an automated confirmation.
Delete from the app
The app includes a deletion action under Settings → Account & Security → Delete PlotRoom Account. Confirming the action uses your authenticated session. Successful deletion revokes PlotRoom device tokens and signs you out in the app.
If your account is suspended or banned, or the in-app option is unavailable, use the email request process. Administrator accounts require role review before the existing deletion action permits deletion.
What is deleted and what remains?
Completed account deletion removes the account record, including its email address, profile name, username, and password hash if present. It revokes all PlotRoom device tokens, removes the stored profile image if present, and removes linked Google identities, verification-code records, account preferences, episode reveal permissions, your reactions, block relationships, and notifications addressed to your account.
Comments and replies remain stored. Their account link is removed and the discussion identifies the author as “Deleted user.” Their text is not automatically erased or checked for personal information you included. Reports, evidence snapshots, and staff audit records can remain, including identifiers or text captured before deletion. Notifications already delivered to other users can also remain with the actor account link removed.
Website session records, operational logs, support emails, historical backups, and information held by third-party services are not automatically erased by the account deletion action. If you want personal information in retained content reviewed for removal, include that request when contacting support. We do not promise instant deletion or a fixed completion or retention period.
Questions about retained information
Tell the developer if your request also concerns personal information in a comment, report, or another retained record. Include enough context to identify it. The current account deletion action alone does not erase all such records, and a removal request requires individual review.
