PlotRoom
1. About the service
PlotRoom is a television discovery and discussion platform developed and operated by Ali Shaaban, an independent developer. It provides episode-specific conversations, nested replies, reactions, profiles, and spoiler preferences.
2. Using PlotRoom
These terms explain the conditions for using PlotRoom. Please read them and our Privacy Policy before using the service or contributing content. If you do not agree, do not use the service or submit content.
The current app's terms set a minimum age of 13. You must also meet any applicable local requirements for agreeing to these terms or obtaining a parent or guardian's permission.
3. Accounts and security
You can register with an email address and password or use the available Google Sign-In flow. Provide accurate account details, use a username that does not impersonate another person, and protect your sign-in credentials and devices. Email verification is required for features that request it.
Do not access another person's account or share access tokens. Contact support if you suspect unauthorized access. The developer will never need you to email your password or a one-time verification code.
4. Community guidelines
Help keep episode discussions welcoming and relevant. You must not post or engage in:
- Harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, or targeted abuse.
- Spam, deceptive promotion, impersonation, or attempts to manipulate the service.
- Sharing another person's private information without permission.
- Illegal content, sexual exploitation, or material that encourages harm or abuse.
- Copyright infringement or other content you do not have the right to share.
- Deliberate future-episode or source-material spoilers in an episode's discussion.
- Attempts to bypass access restrictions, disrupt the service, or misuse reporting tools.
5. Your contributions
You are responsible for the comments, replies, profile images, and other content you submit. You must have the necessary rights and permissions to share it. Do not post confidential or sensitive information.
You retain ownership of your content. By submitting it, you give PlotRoom permission to store, reproduce, display, and technically adapt it as needed to operate discussions and moderate the service. This permission is limited to those service purposes and does not transfer ownership to PlotRoom.
Removing a comment from public display does not necessarily erase its stored body or report evidence. Account deletion currently preserves discussion text with its account link removed. Read the Account Deletion page for details.
6. Spoiler protection
Conversations are organized by episode. PlotRoom offers spoiler-protection preferences and episode reveal controls. Keep discussions within the selected episode's scope and respect other viewers' progress.
Preferences, moderation, and reveal controls cannot guarantee that you will never see a spoiler. Other users may submit unexpected content or use episode discussions incorrectly.
7. Intellectual property and television content
Original PlotRoom branding and software belong to their respective owners. Television names, images, artwork, and metadata remain the property of their rights holders; using PlotRoom does not give you ownership of them.
Television metadata and artwork are supplied through The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
8. Moderation
Authorized moderators can review reports and hide or remove inappropriate comments within their assigned scope. Administrators can suspend or ban accounts. Moderation evidence and audit records may be kept after content is removed from public display.
These tools support review; they do not mean every contribution is checked before it appears or that every report results in action.
9. Leaving PlotRoom and account restrictions
You may stop using PlotRoom and request account deletion. The app also offers deletion for eligible signed-in accounts. Suspended or banned users should contact support if the in-app action is unavailable. Deletion requests require ownership verification.
Accounts that violate community rules can have access restricted through suspension or banning. Removing app access does not itself delete the account or all its data.
10. Reporting problems and blocking
Use the Report action on a comment or reply to submit a reason and relevant details for review. You can block another contributor through their comment's actions and manage blocked users in the app's safety settings.
For concerns about a user, copyright, private information, or issues you cannot report through a comment, email ali.shaaban2002@gmail.com . Include enough context to identify the issue without sending unnecessary sensitive information.
11. Availability and changes
PlotRoom is under development and may change as testing continues. Features may be interrupted, changed, or withdrawn. We do not guarantee continuous availability, error-free operation, or preservation of every contribution.
12. Service information and disclaimers
Discussions reflect contributors' views. Television information from third parties can contain errors or become outdated. Spoiler controls and moderation have limitations, so use your judgment when viewing or sharing content.
Nothing in these terms removes rights that applicable law does not allow to be waived. These terms do not specify a governing jurisdiction or a monetary limit on liability.
13. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as PlotRoom changes. The current version will be available here with its last-updated date. Review the terms before continuing to use new or changed features.
